Could you please furnish us with a brief introduction of Yapi Lider Kimya from the beginning?

YAPI LIDER KIMYA, established in 2003, has always kept customer satisfaction and appreciation by manufacturing highest quality for the lowest prices. LYK PO-MAX brand was founded by the investors who have experience in the foam adhesives used in soft furniture field (upholstery, sofa, spring mattresses, office furniture…). Now, as one of the leaders of the field YAPI LIDER KIMYA is manufacturing flammable and non-flammable adhesives that can be applied with a spray gun, used in the fields like soft furniture, office furniture, footwear, construction, insulation and the automotive fields. Exports its adhesives to European, Middle East and the rest of the world’s countries and contributes to the country’s economy by selling some of the part to the domestic market.

You are serving the mattress industry with adhesives. What are the exact usage areas and the features of your products?

An adhesive that can glue hard-soft and/or soft-soft materials, nonflammable, odorless, can glue in a very short time like 0-3 min, highly technological, applied with a spray gun and used in furniture fields, mainly which are spring mattress, memory foam mattress, office furniture productions, thus is preferred in many countries. Problems regarding the strength of adhesives caused by the production are almost none. Problems experienced are due to improper storage of 3kg and 15kg packages. Problematic products of the production never exceeded 0.4%.

How important are addhesives in the mattress manufacturing? Can you detail the usage of the product?

Adhesive is one of the most important elements in the bed production. The adhesive keeps together all the components of the bed (sponge, felt, fabric, fiber, etc.). Has a very short time adhesion property that enables to keep up with the pace of today’s production. It is resistant to static electricity generated by the felt, fabric and foam. Non-flammable thus prevents from the risk of getting fire.

Where do you provide your raw materials? Do you import?

Our products are produced from various raw materials that are imported from Germany and Italy.

Do you have an R&D department? How are your R&D activities?

We are continuing to improve and work on the new types of adhesives in our R&D department.

Which countries are you exporting to? 

We are exporting to many countries in Europe, Asia and Africa. In 2012 we rank 12 among the adhesive exporters in Turkey.

What are your capacities with regards to manufacturing, exports and domestic sales?

Our capacity of production for the industrial adhesives is 8,500,000 kg/year, of which 70% is exported and 30% is sold in domestic market.
