Universal: A time to expand internationally

Universal General Manager Alber Strugo emphasized that the company is focused on creating a new export portfolio at IBIA Expo 2024, aiming for a significant increase in profit margins through enhanced international activities.

Can you tell us about your general predictions for the fair before the IBIA Expo 2024 fair?
“2024 was a year when the domestic market contracted for Türkiye, and it will probably continue to contract until the end of the year. We are in a period where we need to be more active abroad. I hope the fair will have many visitors and that Türkiye, together with our competitors and sector stakeholders, will play a greater role in the sales of adhesives and other bedding materials.”

What are your expectations from the fair as Universal?
“First of all, we want to host our current customers at our stand and continue our collaboration with them. Then, we want to host bedding professionals and sector players that we have not worked with before at our stand and sign new collaborations. Our goal is to create a new export portfolio that generates high profit margins and to be beneficial to both our company and the sector. For this, we need to meet new customers from new markets and introduce our products to them. I hope that the fair will be productive for both us and our sector stakeholders.”

Do you have any advice or requests from the fair management (based on the previous year)?
“This will be our first time participating and I hope it will be a great fair that we will all benefit from.”
