Polifelt plans to stay at the top in felt production

Being one of the strongest companies in Turkey, the company shows that it is one of the biggest companies in the sector with its production capacity and future targets.

Established in 2003 in Gaziantep, one of the most important industrial cities of Turkey and the Middle East, Politeks is one of the largest fiber suppliers in Turkey, Middle East and Europe. The company is one of the oldest and most experienced companies in the industry. Politeks Elyaf produces and supplies synthetic and natural fibers to many sectors by recycling its wastes. Enlarging its facilities in 2019, Politeks started to produce felt under the name Polifelt in 2020.

Polifelt, which wants to bring all of its processed textile wastes to the felt sector, carries out very important studies on the recycling of non-hazardous wastes. The company guarantees its customers quality, price and just-in-time supply.

Polifelt, which has a felt production capacity of 12,000 tons per year, is one of the strongest institutions in the region. The company offers quality felt to the market with its strength and qualified personnel. We talked to Murat Cengiz, General Manager of Polifelt, which has a rich and diverse raw material resource with its experienced and dynamic staff. Cengiz stated that they provide the size and quality that their customers want and that they give confidence to their consumers and added: “We will stay at the top of the industry.”

How did you decide on felt production? What are your plans and goals in this regard? As the strongest fiber producer in the region, i would like to hear about your future plans for felt production.

In August 2019, we decided to produce felt. Thus, we started our work and planned to become one of the largest felt manufacturers in both Turkey and the Middle East. In 2020, we started felt production with this idea. We have a lot of plans for the sector. We are the strongest company in the region in fiber production. In addition, we want to stay at the top of the sector in felt production.

Could you please give information about your production capacity and product range? Also, in which sectors are your products used?

Our current production capacity is 750 tons. In September, our second line will be activated. We are planning to reach a monthly capacity of 1500 tons. Our products are generally used in the manufacture of furniture as a protector on the spring. In addition, our products are widely preferred under the carpet, in the automotive sector and in the white goods sector. We supply a lot to these industries. That’s why we always keep our quality at the highest level.

You are a company that produces for many sectors. Accordingly, which sector prefers you more?

All of our products are requested and appreciated by our customers because we try to do our job in the best way possible. Thus, we get very good feedback from our customers. Our consumers prefer the felt used in mattress manufacturing more. We are preferred more by the mattress sector, which has developed and grown more in recent years.

I would also like to hear from you about your R&D innovation studies. How are your innovation processes going? Also, do the companies you work with always request new products from you?

Our industry is constantly developing and growing. Especially our furniture manufacturing customers attach great importance to R&D and innovation studies. For this reason, companies in the furniture sector carry out innovation studies and constantly demand different products from us.

Thus, we continue our R&D and innovation processes to compensate our customers’ needs. We always strive to make the best and most distinctive product. Our work on this subject continues rapidly today, as always. We always want to give the best service to our customers.

How do you supply raw materials?

We supply raw materials from Politeks, which is the largest and most capacity fiber producer in Turkey. Politeks is our constituent company. Therefore, we do not have problems with raw materials. We have the opportunity to reach the best quality and best raw materials. Thus, we produce the highest quality felt.

I would like to learn about the main reasons that make your products different in the industry. How would you describe this situation?

I can list the main reasons that make our products different as follows: Fast delivery, achieving sustainable quality, high capacity and supplying our raw materials from Politeks.

Which countries do you export to?

We export to 15 countries. When we open our second line, we will increase the number of countries we export to. Our work on this issue continues because we plan to be one of the best companies in every field. Currently, we export 30% of our production.

As a company that aims to be the best in every field, what kind of goals do you have in the future?

We continue to work to become the largest company in the industry. We are taking firm steps towards our goals. We are also planning to start the production of the third line. After 8 months, we aim to reach 2100 capacity every month. We work in a planned way to achieve this goal and we believe that we will reach our goals as soon as possible.
