Pakfix Supplies Yarns for Mattress Industry

Started as a silk yarn and silk fabric producer in 1956 the company moved its facilities to Bursa Organized industrial zone in 1980 and expanded its manufacturing line that includes apparels for women and exporting.

The company has a number of brands in export markets including Pakipek, Pakfix and Fashion Garden. These brands are for women outwear, industrial sawing yarns, and fabric digital printing categories.

Pakfix focused on high tenacity industrial polyester yarn production. The yarn is used mostly in furniture, mattress, quilt, denim products, leather goods, footwear, tent, parachute and automotive industries.

On the importance of yarn in quilt and mattress industries

Mattress industry is a growing segment in the world. They are both improving their numbers and qualities. Sawing yarn is important in the mattress manufacturing because several materials are used in the process, including fabrics, foams, fibers, felts, etc. Yarns to be used in the process should be strong, non-breaking. They should not cause heat and static electric charges during sawing.

On investment plans

This year we have expanded our manufacturing base with the addition of new machinery for fabric weaving, yarn production and digital printing machinery. They increased our market share as well. By the end of 2014 our dyeing unit and yarn spinning machinery will be added to our factory.

On exporting

50 percent of our production is exported. Most of them goes to Germany and other countries in Europe. We also export to Israel and Russia.
