The Ministry of Trade has decided to support the IBIA Expo fair, which will be held for the 3rd time this year with the organisation of BİFAŞ Fuarcılık in cooperation with the IBIA Association. Within the scope of this decision, exhibitors will be able to get back up to 50% of the participation and stand construction fees they have paid within the upper limit.
Following the accreditation of IBIA Expo as an ‘international’ fair, the authorities of the Ministry of Trade of the Republic of Turkey, which evaluated the application made by the fair organiser Bifaş and found it positive, included IBIA Expo in the list of Sectoral Qualified Domestic Fairs Covered by Support in 2024. In 2024, there are 373 fairs that have been applied to the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey and decided to be organised, while the total number of fair organisations decided to be included in the support of the Ministry of Trade was 46.
The support of the Ministry of Trade received two years after the first fair is an indication that IBIA Expo is the largest and strongest organisation in the Eurasia region and that the public confirms this situation. The IBIA Expo support, which is considered as a starting work for the Mattress Supply Industry and Technologies sector to achieve and exceed its export targets, will enable the organiser BİFAŞ to promote the fair effectively abroad.
Within the scope of the support, the ministry, which will support approximately 450,000 TL of the fair participation fees paid by the exhibitors, will reimburse 222,474 TL to the exhibitors.
In addition, within the scope of the support of the Ministry of Trade, ‘Buyer Delegation Programme’ will also be held. Within the scope of the buyer delegation programme, the IBIA Association will take place as a cooperation organisation with the application to be made by the Organising Organisation BİFAŞ. The countries where the buyer delegation will be brought within the scope of the support to be made through the Exporters’ Associations will be determined in the coming days in line with the demands of the fair participants.
