Kar-as: The industry made an important breakthrough with IBIA Expo
Kar-as Board Member M. Önder Aslan said that the IBIA association fair has made an important contribution to the mattress industry to take the lead with the IBIA Expo.
Önder Aslan emphasized that the IBIA association has created an environment of solidarity in the Turkish mattress components industry and stated that the IBIA Expo exhibition has also made significant contributions to exports. Stating that they will come to the fair with high expectations in the light of these reasons, Aslan underlined that the exhibitor guide, networking events and digital integration studies will make the fair much more efficient.
Could you tell us about your general predictions about the exhibition before IBIA Expo 2024?
“IBIA Association has been an important fulcrum for the Turkish mattress components industry to unite, to be in solidarity and to carry out the competition in a brotherly manner. It has made great contributions to our industry since its establishment. The IBIA Expo exhibition, organized under the leadership of the association, provided an important breakthrough in the export side of the mattress components industry. Thanks to the excitement it created when it was organized for the first time and the reference it created in the second fair, I think that the third fair will be productive both in terms of the number of visitors and the trade volume generated.”
What are your expectations from the fair as Kar-as?
“Kar-as, being one of Turkey’s reputable mattress spring manufacturers, is also a company that manufactures bed-base and has a high export percentage and portfolio. Our purpose of participating in fairs is not only to export mattress springs, but also to showcase our recently launched mattress-base and sleep products brands Deep Sleep and Kargibi brands and to make our presence felt in the global mattress industry. For this reason, we want to make our Kargibi and Deep Sleep brands known and recognized in the sector as well as Kar-as, which is already a well-known brand in the sector. We hope that IBIA Expo 2024 will help us in this regard and we can turn our brands into global brands.”
Do you have any advice for the fair management or a request from the management?
“As Kar-as, we were very pleased to take part in IBIA Expo 2023 last year and we would like to thank your entire management team for your professionalism and support during this process. Your meticulous work on the organization of the exhibition and the exhibitor experience played an important role in the success of the exhibition.
Based on last year’s IBIA Expo 2023, we have a few suggestions and requests this year:
Exhibitor Guide: Providing exhibitors with a detailed guide prior to the exhibition will be beneficial in terms of providing easier access to critical information such as the layout of the exhibition area, logistics information, and event calendar.
Networking Events: Organizing more networking events among exhibitors during the exhibition can increase cooperation opportunities. Enriching these events with sector-specific themes will be very valuable for our company.
Digital Integration: During the exhibition, exhibitors can benefit more from digital solutions. In particular, the development of digital maps between stands, appointment planning applications and mobile applications for event tracking will further enhance the visitor and exhibitor experience.
We believe that these suggestions will further reinforce the success of IBIA EXPO 2024. We look forward to cooperating with you at the next exhibition.”
