Spanning 17 halls to cover an area of 150,000 square meters, 1,396 exhibiting companies gathered at this flagship event of the industry and made an excellent show to over 70,000 professionals flew from all around the world.
Asia’s largest and most comprehensive woodworking machinery, furniture production and interior decoration trade fair was held at the China Import and Export Fair (Pazhou) Complex located in the country’s southern manufacturing hub of Guangzhou. The event – the largest in its history – span 150,000 square meters and also saw a 12 percent jump in the number of exhibitors to 1,396 companies from 38 countries and regions.

In addition, a number of international exhibitors made use of interzum guangzhou 2017 as their launchpad to debut in China:
Coral, Schugoma, Woodtron, General Paint, IVM, T-Prin, Krauss, NDB Timber, Mammut, Veysel, Metal Matris, BKB Mobilya, Ozdemir, Komposan, Sugatsune, Joker Uno, Fine Induestries, Lignadecor.
Nine national pavilions from Germany, Turkey, Korea, Chile, the United States / Canada as well as industry-driven contingents led by the Malaysian Timber Council, American Hardwood Export Council, Canada Wood and Swedish Wood were also making waves at this year’s edition with stronger contingents.
Complementing the trade fair was a series of concurrent seminars spotlighting the latest trends in the industry such as the Global Color Trends Conference 2017/2018, as well as presentations centering new technologies and product applications, with the likes of the multiple purposes of Swedish Wood as a modern material and special edge banding products.
Pulling all stops to engage exhibitors and visitors alike, other activities at the international halls also included a gift redemption program for visitors, Networking Happy Hour event, business matching, and a special display.
Located at the entrance of Hall 15.1, the display entitled “Unveiling – The Mysteries of Furniture Production” showcased innovative products and technologies of furniture production and told the story behind the development of the industry.
Focusing on the premium custom cabinet category this year, the business matching event featured buyers from renowned domestic brands vifa Kitchen, OPPEIN, Wision and Wayes who will be meeting with some 20 suppliers from abroad to fulfill their sourcing needs.
During the event, organizers Koelnmesse and the China Foreign Trade Center (Group) jointly announced the extension of their strategic partnership following the inking of a five-year agreement.

Being the only satellite event of interzum – the world’s top trade fair of its kind – CIFM / interzum guangzhou made its foray into China in 2004 and has since been partnering with the China International Furniture Fair (CIFF) to become the flagship industry event in Asia.
The next edition of this premium event will take place on the same dates, 28-31 March 2018.
