interzum provides the furniture industry momentum for their innovations: The decision-makers, opinion leaders and multipliers in furniture production and interior design are excited about your new products, solutions and concepts. For four days the interzum is again the central communication platform for the industry: exhibitors from around the world meet visitors from around the world and do good business.

Every two years, interzum presents the product innovations of the supplier industry, making the fair one of the most important sources of business momentum for designing the living spaces of tomorrow. With more than 1,500 exhibitors present, it really makes sense to schedule in enough time for the fair. Even those who only want to visit one of the three segments will easily be able to fill two days especially taking into account the varied event programme offering even more to be discovered.

interzum has been the world’s leading fair for products in furniture production and interior design for decades now. It is the platform for global premieres and a unique meeting point for the industry, one which in 2015 will once again lead the way when it comes to superlatives. Already, stand area rental levels are 5% up in comparison to those in 2013. One of the reasons for this increase is the extension of the Function + Components segment. In 2015 for the first time, an extra hall will be added to accommodate demand – Hall 4.1. In addition, the product exhibition itself will be complemented by an extensive event programme. Yet another reason the visitor should schedule at least two days for interzum.

In each of the three segments, the “Piazzas” represent the framework for the event programme. The exhibits in the Materials + Nature Piazza in Hall 6, for example, will provide a comprehensive overview of everything new, innovative and trendsetting in the area of materials. Those interested in an even more in-depth view in any of the topics should visit the concise and informative lectures.

The “Textile Production Line”, first introduced in 2013, will once again be a particularly impressive Piazza in the Textile + Machinery segment. On an area of approximately 1,000 square metres, products like seat covers and floor mats for a variety of car manufacturers will be produced live! The “Polster + Bedding” (Upholstery + Bedding) workshop will also take place here, with experts speaking on current topics.

In 2015, the “innovation of interior” Piazza can be found once again in the Function + Components segment. This year, 3D printing takes center stage, which is why you can see several systems printing live in real-time. The topic will be rounded out by presentations from industry experts.

The fifth “Innovations in WoodBased Materials Workshop” also promises to be an exciting event, taking place on 4 May at the Koelnmesse Congress Centre North. Representatives from manufacturers and research institutions in the area of wood-based materials, from the furniture industry and from interior design present current product innovations, with participants invited to partake in open discussions afterward.
