Inno Yatak, known for its production policy that is sensitive to both human health and nature by using natural materials, serves its middle and upper segment customers with products such as horsehair, coconut and latex. Inno, exporting to 14 countries as of now, is planning to increase the number of countries it exports to 50 in the next years.
Inno Yatak General Manager Önder HONİ talked about the production processes, marketing tactics and export capacity in his interview with our magazine. In his speech, HONI stating that the first parameter they consider in the production process is human health said “It is popular and expensive application to leave a green future for the environment and next generations and to ensure the resources to be sustainable and at the same time it is hard to realize. Therefore, we were established with such a philosophy to be the implementer of these common and popular concepts and also the supplier of those who want to manufacture products with these materials.”
In which lanes do you serve as a company that produces mattress materials?
Apart from standard mattress materials, it has been established to meet the mattress material needs of the companies which are producing beds we call premium at the segment addressed by Inno Yatak Limited Company. The main character of these products is that they are natural, in addition to being innovative, they are organic, they pass through environmentally sensitive production lines, they have certificates such as Oeko-Tex, and they are produced by paying attention to the sensitivities of nature, environment and animal friendly people. For this reason, they are special raw materials. Mattresses made from the bedding materials we supply are biodegradable and therefore do not harm the environment. Most of the ingredients have an organic certificate. Therefore, no chemicals are used in the production stages. Since they are Oeko-Tex certified products, they do not harm the environment, human and animal health. We also have completely plant-based products for people who demand vegan bedding or products.
Do you have a shortage of raw materials in the production process?
Along with the global epidemic, the problems in the supply chain definitely bother us. However, we are trying to overcome our raw material supply problem by taking our precautions from the beginning and organizing our supply chain more tightly by working with stock. We believe that we will overcome this challenging period in Turkey’s business environment, which is always full of problems and crises.
You are using natural products such as horsehair, coconut, latex in production. What kind of feedback have you received from your customers regarding these products?
Turkey is one of the world’s leading countries in the mattress sector. We can say that it ranks number two in the world after China, especially in raw material mattress production. In the production of mattress, it also hosts the important manufacturers in the world. In recent years, there has been an increasing trend in naturalness in the world. However, most of the mattresses produced and sold consist of petrochemical raw materials such as polyurethane sponges, polyester blended fabrics and polyester fibers. Products such as horse mane, coconut, natural latex, wool, cotton that we supply are used to produce natural bedding, unlike these products. Of course, with the introduction of these products and the stock service we provide, the number of those who produce these products has increased in the last 5 years. In addition, the importance that people attach to nature, the environment and recycling, along with the pandemic, and the legal regulations on the production and consumption of environmentally friendly products in our country and other countries, especially the European Union, are increasing the demand for the products we offer. In addition, the increase in conscious consumers has increased with the spread of the internet. People do research and see the benefits of natural products, discover the possible harms of synthetic products, and the demand for our products is increasing. The feedback from customers using these products is naturally very good. Because after using petrochemical products, people’s satisfaction is always at a high level.
Which countries do you export to? Are you looking for a new market?
Our products are mostly used in developed countries. Therefore, it is mostly consumed in Central Europe. As an organization in Turkey, we export to 14 countries. We are planning to increase the number of countries we export to 50 in the next 5 years.
As a company, your motto is natural, innovative and environmentally friendly. Can you mention your environmentally friendly products and innovative product designs aimed at protecting nature?
The terms such as innovative, environmentalist, biodegradable, vegan and organic products are not only popular for us but also for the world. The first feature of these is that they are products aimed at protecting human health. Secondly, leaving a green future to the environment and next generations and ensuring that resources are sustainable is both a popular and expensive practice today and a difficult issue to implement. Therefore, we were established with such a philosophy to be the implementer of these common and popular concepts and also the supplier of those who want to manufacture products with these materials. This reflects both our own life philosophy and our company philosophy. This philosophy has both a relaxing and a satisfying side. That’s why we adopted it. Indeed, we pay attention to these issues both personally and as company employees. We want to continue production and sales activities without polluting the environment as much as possible. Finally, as Inno Limited Company, we have been operating in the mattress sector for 6 years. Our main establishment goal is to bring mattress materials that are not in Turkey to Turkey through imports and distribute them in Turkey and nearby geographies. Apart from that, basing on our industrial experience, we undertake the business of bringing innovative mattress materials and mattress equipment to Turkey, which are used in the world but not in Turkey. In this context, we want to contribute to the mattress sector in Turkey and we believe that we are doing this with our activities. We trust the future of the mattress sector in Turkey and in the world. The sector continues to grow. We will continue to serve the return to nature side of this sector.
