The IBIA Expo, the premier platform for the Mattress Sub-Industry and Technologies sector, is set to open its doors in Istanbul, offering a unique gathering for professional buyers from around the globe. This event brings together leading companies from Türkiye and beyond, showcasing their latest and most innovative products.
Scheduled to take place at the Istanbul Expo Center from September 25-29, 2024, IBIA Expo – Mattress Sub-Industry and Technologies Fair will feature over 300 top companies and manufacturers. Thousands of industry professionals are expected to attend, including buyers from target countries worldwide.
The expo will display a vast array of products and technologies, including mattress cover fabrics, handles, moving mechanisms, non-woven fabrics, fibers, mattress glues, pocket springs, sponges, packaging products, zippers, home textiles, quilts, pillows, mattress production lines, packaging machines, sponge machines, quilting machines, spring stringing machines, automatic glue lines, hot-melt guns, mattress capsules, and labels.
In addition to showcasing these innovations, IBIA Expo will host nearly 20,000 local and international buyers from 14 countries. The event will facilitate networking and business opportunities through B2B meetings, connecting special buyers with leading manufacturers.
As the only trade fair in Turkey dedicated to mattress components and technologies, IBIA Expo is an essential event for professionals in the mattress sub-industry, machinery, and equipment sectors. It serves as a vital export platform where the latest technologies and cutting-edge products are presented to a global audience.
Osman Güler, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the IBIA Association, pointed out that IBIA Expo is the only international organisation where the leading companies and representatives of the sector meet, and underlined that they shape the sector with the projects they have implemented and the events they regularly hold. Stating that the fair creates great opportunities for companies in the sector to take part in global markets, Güler said, ‘The fair, which we organised for the first time in 2022, attracted great national and international attention. In 2023, we hosted more than 35 thousand visitors from more than 100 countries at the fair, which we held with the participation of more than 300 companies on an area of 20 thousand square metres. Turkey is an important player in the mattress sub-industry sector worldwide. We are positioned among the countries that produce the most after China in mattress production. By the end of 2024, we aim to increase our exports to 3 billion dollars. For this, we aim to open up to new markets, strengthen our current position and increase our added value through R&D studies. IBIA Expo is the only non-alternative export point for domestic manufacturers who want to establish stable business partnerships in world markets.’
Ümit Vural, Chairman of the Board of Directors of BİFAŞ, said in his statement that they are proud to have signed an important and successful international organisation together with the IBIA Association. ‘IBIA will be the largest sector fair in Eurasia,’ said Vural. ‘Our fair, which will be held at the Istanbul Expo Centre on 25-28 September 2024 in cooperation with IBIA-BİFAŞ, has been accredited as an international fair by the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB). This accreditation will increase the participation of foreign exhibitors and visitors to the fair and further strengthen our industry in the international arena. We plan to make IBIA Expo, which will also be supported by a sectoral buyer delegation programme under the auspices of the Ministry of Trade, the biggest fair of the region in its sector. Here, mattress manufacturers will find everything they need, and they will meet world-renowned companies and brands as well as companies that produce at very high quality and attractive prices.’
