Evger serves with a quarter century of experience

Serving the industry since 1988 Evger has been continuing its operations with its two plants in Kayseri Organized Industrial Zone.

Pointing out that they produce metal berth, bedstead, mattress, plastic sofa legs and accessories, Mr. Mehmet Durak, General Manager of Evger said that they export to 12 countries and they have 80% of Turkey’s foldable sofa market. In an interview with our magazine Durak said 2013 was positive for them and he unveiled some of their plans for 2014. Excerpts:

Could you brief us about yourself

I was born in Kayseri in 1956. I completed my university education in 1979. I worked for chamber of industry and had active duty for creation of Incesu industrial Area, Mimarsinan Industrial Area and Kayseri Free Zone.

Could you furnish us with general information about your company?  

Evger AŞ was established in 1988 and has experience of 25 years in metal furniture production. Our company has two separate facilities in Kayseri Industrial Area with a covered area of 9.500

Could you brief us about your production? 

Our company produces metal bunk beds, bedsteads, guest beds, adjustable beds, folding beds, metal sofa legs, plastic sofa legs and accessories for furniture industry. Evger supplies 80% of the market demand on folding beds.

Additional to these, we also produce metal frameworks for leaders of furniture brands in the sector.

Our company also has plans to produce school desks, chairs and adjustable beds for hospitals in near future.

Can you inform us about your foreign trade; exports and imports?  

Evger exports 55% of production to Europe, Iraq, North Africa and Israel.

What do you have in your product range? 

We have bunk beds for houses and construction yards, bedsteads, folding beds, adjustable motorized beds and furniture accessories in our product range.

We also supply pillows, beds, quilts, blankets, tables and chairs for construction yards and dormitories.

How was 2013 for your company? What plans or targets do you have for 2014? 

2013 was an important year for improving the export sales and product development.

We have plans to build up new robotic welding lines for our production. We also have plans to take place in medical and education sector in 2014.
