Elektroteks: We want to double our exports to India

Osman Güler, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Elektroteks said that they aim to increase their export volume to India by 2 folds with our participation in India Mattresstech Fair.

Speaking to Sleep Tech magazine before the fair, Osman Güler made predictions and evaluations about the India Mattrestech Fair in the interview. Osman Güler, who stated that they are taking a very active role in the Indian market and are one of the leading players in the market, gave the following statements in his interview; “We had mentioned that India is the largest market after China and America. It is also a virgin market in the mattress industry. As Elektroteks, we have a serious ground in this market and we have a big team there. We are in constant contact with other players in the market and we are taking a very active role. We expect our export trend to rise. India accounts for 4% of our overall exports and is the fifth country where we export the most. Our goal is to double this rate through this exhibition. We hope that we will be successful in this as well.”

What are your expectations from India Mattresstech Fair?

Turkiye is the country that sent the most exhibitors to the fair after the host country. Many companies that contribute to the mattress sub-industry sector in our country at the point of production represent the Turkish leg of the fair. As Elektroteks, our expectations from the fair are that it will contribute to increasing our market share in this region as it does from every fair and increase our export chart. We want to expand our export range in that geography by introducing our latest technologies to India as well as other South Asian countries. We believe that the fair will also contribute to our mission.

What kind of preparation did you make for the fair?

This year, unlike previous years, we are thinking of exhibiting the machines we have produced at the fair directly there. In previous years, both logistics, freight and installation costs made it very difficult for us to exhibit machines there. For this reason, we were promoting our products both through digital materials, models and catalogs. But with both freight and logistics prices returning to normal and our market share increasing significantly, we will have the opportunity to exhibit our most well-known and favorite machines at the fair this year together with the team we have formed.

How will the fair have an impact on the export of Electroteks? Can we have your predictions?

We have mentioned that it is the largest market after India, China and America. It is also a fairly virgin market in the mattress industry. What kind of impact do you expect the fair to have on the mattress components industry in Turkey?

As I have just mentioned, we are the country with the highest participation rate after the host country. Many companies with a significant share in the mattress industry of our country will be at the fair. If I am going to talk about the mattress machine, which is our own field, a very large part of the Indian mattress manufacturers meet the mattress machine track from Turkish companies. As Turkish companies, we all want and aim to be able to carry the Turkish mattress industry to even more advanced dimensions and to be able to represent our country in the Indian market in the best way as in every market. We hope that the Turkish mattress industry will gain the place it deserves in the developing and growing senses.
