In the year 1989, Güler family emigrating from Bulgaria to Turkey on the sake of satisfying the scarcity in fabric and garment industry started machine production. Later on in cooperation with Elektroteks firm totally over 4 thousand square region enterprise started to make mattress production is very confidential in the field of software. In the world, especially in the field of upholstery stating out that there is no machine efficient to be more productive than their own machines Elektroteks General Manager Orhan Güler also in terms of post-sale support underlined their efficiency. Establishing its first service in 1989 in its sector Elektroteks nowadays exports products a broad range of countries from Argentina to Russia and contributes to the export value of Turkey.
As the firm Elektroteks, can you illuminate us about your efforts from the date of our manufacture origination in Turkey?
For 23 years, we are a firm operating in the field of automation and service generations. Our enterprise 32 years ago started up to business with automation services. In the year 1989 after immigration from Bulgaria to Turkey in the field of fabric and garment we discovered a scarcity. Accordingly, we established the initial service web in Turkey covering the fabric and garment field. With the 60-65 persons service personnel we launched service support to Turkey’s entire garment factories. Some of our colleagues resigned and established their own business. In that scope, I suppose we become their precursors. Also we satisfied the sector by that means. Between the years 1989-1995, under Güler Elektronik our enterprise earning its status in the industry, from the year 1995 with Elektroteks brand name, from the year 1995 allocates services for the industry. In the years of 2000s we mainly focused over software related automation services. From the year 2004 correlated with bushing production plants, with padded and lateral curb machines we commenced the manufacture of machines that will give services to bushing and textile-apparel services. Consequently, from the year 2007 for bushing sector we launched to make machines. We reduced our service provisions except our own machines. With our 85 persons personnel allocating post-production and post-sales technical support we keep on our activities. Presently to bushing manufacture industry, except spring machines we allocate services by means of making the manufacture of bushing lines, upholsteries, bushing closing and gluing system machines.
You realize mechanical manufacture to very wide-range field. How does it affect you in terms of service web?
Predominantly when we realize our manufacture, we gain from our 30 years long service web experience. Since we know that in which stage the machines create problems and pursuant to their nature we treat them very attentively. Hence thereto, after 10-15 years later we transmit the service required issues at the time of mechanical production. By that way, our machines without any obligation for service provision continue to make manufacture. In combination with the implementation our advance technology, we pull down maintenance and service costs to minimum. We have teams available for support by 7/24 phone and internet access. Apart from these teams also we allocate support for our clients. Our friends in 20 personnel automation and installation team, also employed over the service web. If we give an example, Russia is a very huge region for us. Here related distributors are competent to give instant interference to problems in their own region. In Kayseri until a specific region, our friends are employed to allocate support until a very specific region. By that way, we keep up our service generations.
Can you explain the machines types you allocate support in bushing industry?
Initially, we were not intended in that business with machine sector. We in terms of claims oriented to bushing industry. Normally, we are an enterprise making Re-De concentrated operations. Normally, further to textile and apparel industry we used to carry out detailed studies. Presently we are only interested in bushings. Also with our machines in that sector, we are able to produce entire machines except spring machines unifying complete bushing clamp and sponge. We started to produce them gradually. Principally, 6 years ago we started to produce single and double headed upholstery machines then bushing blockage machines. Later on, slowly we initiated conveyor lines, packing and bushing gluing machines productions.
What are the peculiarities distinguishing you from the other enterprises making bushing machine productions?
In that topic, some enterprises are located in Turkey making operations for 15-20 years and these enterprises made strong contribution to that sector. Because they stop machine import from abroad and enable the exchanges to remain in the country. They are stagnant to some extent due their software dependency to abroad. They implement technology, but they are constrained with the availabilities that are generated by the software producers. We are advantageous in that field since originated from direct automation and software. I can point out the fact that; none of the enterprises are able to apply our technology. For instance, there several companies able to manufacture upholstery machines. We stress that, although our machines are same like the others at least they generate 50-60% more production. We undertake that. Upon any failure to realize this, we also warrant that we will receive back our machines from our clients.
Orhan Güler: “Also our machines is equipped with driver software”
Let’s assume for example two cars go to same direction. One of them arrives in 4 and half hour and the other arrives in 6 hours. That is isolated from the automobile quality. This is completely depend on the driver. Also our machines are equipped with driver software. One of these while slowing down 100 meters earlier before entering to corner the other slows down 10 earlier. Our system strictly analyze the acuity of wheels to rotate the corners. That is correlated to software algorithms. I deal with software after returning back home to discover how I can manage to potentiate the productivity of our machines. For that reason, we can state out that our machines are proficient to operate 50% more productive than the machines produced in Turkey. Especially in out upholstery machines, in the same process if there is anyone making faster production in Turkey we allocate them return back warranty. We guarantee that by notary approved contract. By that way, we have nearly terminated the entry of foreigners into Turkey.
Also in the field of bushing lines, we enable customized projects. At the same time, as per the operations of our clients we enable bushing lines allowing products in maximum productivity. For example, a firm making 600 bushing lines can not exceed over 350-400 bushings. Because, making approach to the event from engineering point of view the fail to make good analysis. Our brain team is constituted by engineers. Thus, we distinguished from the others by the virtue of making peculiar operations in that way.
Can you inform us about the export profile of our enterprise? To which regions and countries you forward machines?
4 Years ago our export figure used to be in 10-20%. Presently, that figure went ahead up to 80%. In the range of South Africa until Turkish Republics we sent machines to plenty of locations. Predominantly these nations are termed as; Argentina, Brazil, Germany, Spain, Italy, Lithuania, Romania, Kosovo, Bulgaria, Russia Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan, Egypt, Syria, Ethiopia, Cameron. And we generated that market potential in such a short time like 4 years. That is not an easy affair. Our one of other feature remains on the lack of our marketing web. Only in terms of the references of our clients, we have executed these sales.
What do you think about the fairs?
Fairs are too significant for us. Even though if a firm is in resolution to purchase the machines, they want to see and contact with the machines before purchase. In that respect, fairs are too convenient. Readily, we give participations to Interzum, Algeria, Serbia, Russia, China fairs. In Turkey in that respect, we will make participation to Sleepwell fair in this subject and we are looking forward enthusiastically. I anticipate that in the future there will be a fair like Interzum fair.
For us the important fact is the progression of Turkish industry and Turkish manufacturer. In that field likewise up to now, also in the future we will strive to do our best.
