Elektroteks: Our product range is unique in the world

Elektroteks invests in robotic technology to strengthen its leading position in mattress production machines worldwide. Stating that they are leading the sector with their R&D studies, Osman Güler said that they aim to realise their dark factories as soon as possible.

Elektroteks exports to 130 countries worldwide with the mattress production machines manufactured in its factories operating in Kayapa Organised Industrial Zone and Görükle Industrial Zone. Elektroteks, which is the leading company in the sector with its technology, production quality and successful performance, continues to increase its production every year.

Elektroteks, which was established in Bursa in 1990 to provide electrical-electronic services to textile factories, has become the choice of world giants in mattress production machines. Osman Güler, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Elektroteks, emphasised that every product they produce is one step ahead of their competitors and stated that they are moving forward with the aim of integrating robotic systems into mattress production processes.

Stating that not compromising on quality is the most important factor that makes the company stand out, Güler said, “Quality is one of our most basic principles. We produce using the materials of the world’s leading brands and the highest quality raw materials. This approach takes us one step ahead in this sector.” Emphasising that they continue on their way with the claim and goal of becoming a world leader, Osman Güler stated that R&D studies are indispensable. Stating that the company works like an R&D Centre with its R&D team of 45 people, Güler said, “We develop 4-5 projects every month by allocating large budgets. We serve the sector with nearly 400 different machines. The wide range of products we have is a feature that our competitors around the world do not have.” Osman Güler, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Elektroteks, stated that they continue their R&D studies with the use of robot technologies in the production of mattress production machines. Stating that there is a shortage of employees to work in production worldwide, Güler explained that they aim to make robotic technologies, which are successfully used in sectors such as automotive, effective in mattress production.

Our goal is to establish a dark factory

Stating that robotic technologies cannot fully adapt to the sector due to the characteristics of the materials used in mattress production, Güler said, “A robot can easily carry materials such as sheet metal, glass and MDF. However, there are difficulties in carrying flexible products such as foam and fabric. As Elektroteks, we have been working in this field for 5-6 years and we have achieved positive results. Our goal is to establish dark factories that will produce mattresses worldwide.”

Osman Güler, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Elektroteks, stated that they planned their goals in 6 stages and added; “We have successfully implemented the first three stages of our plans. We have almost put the final point on the 4th and 5th stages. We have successfully established approximately 20 facilities worldwide where our robotic lines are integrated. We are taking decisive steps towards our goal of establishing a dark mattress production factory in 2024.”

Güler added that as a result of the studies they carried out, they started the production of production lines that have the capacity to make a thousand mattresses in foam mattresses with 2 people in 8 hours.

Customised production

Emphasizing that they carry out special production according to customer demands, Osman Güler said, “We develop products by focusing on the needs of our customers. They convey their dreams to us, and we focus on R&D studies to turn these dreams into reality. As a result, we successfully manufacture the special product that our customers want.”

Sharing the information that they produce machinery worth 3 million dollars per month, Güler said, “We continue our production with more than 350 expert staff in our facilities in Bursa. In addition, we provide services on a global scale with our businesses located in different regions around the world. We continue our services for America with our facility in the state of New Jersey in the United States of America, for Europe with our business in Bulgaria and for that region with our facility in India.”

Stating that they are preparing to step into a new and different sector besides the mattress sector, Osman Güler said, “In addition, we have started to build production facilities for the foam manufacturing plan, which is close to mattress manufacturers.”

Environmentally friendly production, woman-friendly approach

Güler also announced that with the investments they have realized, they have obtained the energy they use from solar energy. Stating that they have reduced energy costs with this investment, Güler said that they have contributed to the protection of nature with environmentally friendly energy.

Stating that as Elektroteks, they are working to increase women’s employment, Osman Güler said, “Although our sector is not very much oriented towards women, we try to prefer female personnel in all the jobs that women can do. We are sensitive to the presence of women in business life. In addition to white-collar employees, we started to put women in charge of the jobs previously done by men in many parts such as CNC machines, serial points of machine assemblies, automation departments and wiring in the manufacturing section. We see that they work more efficiently and meticulously. We currently have approximately 70 female employees, which corresponds to 20 per cent of our total employment.”
