Electroteks: Fairs as Image Refreshing Platforms

Elektroteks: The purpose of our participation in fairs is to refresh our image

Osman Güler, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Elektroteks, said that IBIA Expo 2024 will be more productive than the previous two years and this year’s statistics will be higher compared to previous years.

Stating that as Elektroteks, they participate in fairs not with the motto of expectation, but to refresh their image, Güler said that as one of the largest companies in the global mattress industry, exporting to 140 countries, their only goal is to continue to take place in the memory of the industry players. Mr. Osman stated that it is not possible to give an objective answer to the question of whether you will have a request from the fair management since he is also the Chairman of the Board of Directors of IBIA, and stated that as the fair management, they will evaluate the demands from other companies.

Could you tell us about your general predictions about the exhibition before IBIA Expo 2024?
“The fair is the only fair in Türkiye and one of the few fairs in the world in its field. I believe that both the exhibition has proven itself and the companies have introduced themselves to the global mattress industry very efficiently in the two previous organisations. Thanks to the references provided by the previous two years, I think that this year we will reach higher statistics than the previous years in terms of both the number of visitors, qualified buyers and the commercial volume to be generated.”

What are your expectations from the fair as Elektroteks?
“We are no longer a company that desires expectations from fairs, but a company that adds image to fairs. This is valid not only for IBIA, but also for all bed industry fairs. As Elektroteks, our purpose of participating in fairs is to refresh our image and continue to take place in the memories of our customers. Exporting to 140 countries, having companies in the USA, India and Bulgaria as well as Bursa and working with the world’s biggest mattress brands, we cannot have any other expectation other than this.”

Do you have any advice for the fair management (in reference to the previous year) or any request from the management?
“It would not be objective for me to answer this question both as the president of the association organising the fair and as a company owner participating in the fair. Of course, there will be companies that have something to say on this subject. As the president of the association, we will take their demands into consideration and try to reflect them in the fair.”
