He answered our questions on his company. May we know about you?
I entered in this sector with Poli company, where I served as technical manager for years and accumulated expertise. I saw a window of opportunity in machinery trade from abroad. We
started to manufacture them in 2000. Since then we are expanding our business.
What is your relation with Ozdemir Material company?
It was the first partnership we established after Poli firm. There we produced variety of machinery for six years. Ending partnership in 2009 I established Ekici Machinery, who provides machinery for mattress, base, coach, armchair, wood, sponge processing.
What are your major products aimed at the mattress sector?
We provide side closing, siding, specier, bed quilting, fabric cutting, spring and spring control, spring clips, spring pressing machinery. We always improve our manufacturing and products.
Where do you buy your supply items? Do you import them?
We need electronic CNC control units and motors, electrical materials, bearings, steel parts, nuts and bolts, sheet metals, bronze parts, pipes and profiles. We all buy them from domestic suppliers. Some of the electronic inputs were imported.
What are your R&D activities?
We developed double head CNC movable quilting machinery, elastic cord spanning, nailing and automatic side closing machinery. We also added specier machinery to siding machinery.
What are your export markets? How large are your capacities?
In the middle East we export to Iran, Iraq, Syria, Jordan beside Azerbaijan, the Balkans and Rumania. About 70 percent of our manufacturing is sold in export markets.
Any additional comment?
We aimed to produce top quality in all our manufacturing since 2001. We keep our promises to produce complete customer satisfaction. We emphasize on this, and stand behind all of our machinery even after sale. We also try to manufacture better machinery in order to lower the labor costs of our customers and end users of our products.
