Comfytex: IBIA Expo is an important platform for showcasing new technologies
Comfytex General Manager Selim Şahin said that IBIA Expo is an extremely important platform for Turkish companies to reach new markets and to showcase new technologies.
Stating that they will showcase the Revival Era collection at the fair, Selim Şahin said that they aim to establish international connections as well as increasing their brand awareness at the fair. Emphasizing that IBIA Expo is a very important organization for the Turkish mattress industry, Selim Şahin, General Manager of Comfytex, said that there are some things to be considered during the organization of such an organization and added: “Considering some of the problems we experienced last year, we have some expectations from the fair management. Firstly, we demand that the air conditioning systems in the exhibition area be better controlled and kept at an optimal temperature; last year we encountered an extremely cold environment. We also hope that the storage processes will be managed in a healthier way and that we will not encounter additional fee requests.”
Before IBIA Expo 2024, could you tell us about your general predictions for the exhibition?
“IBIA Expo is recognized as the most important bedding sub-industry and technology fair in Türkiye. The fair, which attracts increasing interest every year, hosted more than 35 thousand domestic and foreign visitors in 2023. The vast majority of these visitors were mattress manufacturers, component importers and exporters, importers of sleep products and industry professionals. Exhibitors stated that the fair provided an important platform for showcasing new technologies and innovative products. We anticipate that this perception will grow and the exhibitor portfolio will expand geographically.”
What are your expectations from the fair as Comfytex?
“As Comfytex, our expectation from IBIA Expo 2024 is to increase the number of participants especially from abroad and from more diverse countries. We aim to introduce our 2024 – 2025 collection inspired by the revival cycle of nature titled “Revival Era” to a wider audience through this fair. We believe that the fair will provide an important opportunity to establish international business connections as well as increasing our brand awareness. IBIA Expo 2024 continues to be an important platform in terms of exhibiting innovative products and technologies, establishing business connections with professionals in the industry and providing opportunities to expand to international markets. As Comfytex, we believe that this fair will meet our expectations and we continue our preparations in this direction. We would like to thank all the team who contributed to the organization of the fair.”
Do you have any suggestions or requests for the fair management?
“Considering some of the problems we experienced last year, we have some expectations from the fair management. First of all, we would like the air conditioning systems in the exhibition hall to be better controlled and kept at an optimal temperature; last year we experienced an extremely cold environment. We also hope that the warehousing processes will be better managed and that we will not be faced with additional fee requests. Improving these issues will contribute to a more productive and positive exhibition experience.”
