Comfytex Announces Leadership Transition

Comfytex, a leading manufacturer in the mattress fabric industry, is pleased to announce a key leadership transition within the company. Effective immediately, Mr. Savaş Demirci, who has served as the General Manager, will take on a new role as a member of the Board of Directors. This strategic move aligns with Comfytex’s vision to strengthen its leadership team as the company continues to expand its global presence.

Stepping into the role of General Manager and also joining the Board of Directors is Mr. Selim Şahin. With an extensive background in the industry, Mr. Şahin brings a wealth of experience and a fresh perspective to Comfytex. His appointment marks a significant step in our commitment to innovation, quality, and sustainable growth.

Mr. Şahin’s leadership is expected to further drive Comfytex’s mission to deliver high-quality, sustainable products that meet the evolving needs of our customers. As we embark on this new chapter, the entire Comfytex team looks forward to the positive impact of this transition and to the continued success of the company under his guidance.

About Selim Sahin;

He was born in 1983 in Kayseri. He completed his higher education at Pamukkale University (PAU) Textile Engineering Department between 2001-2005.

He started his career as a shift engineer at Denizli Basma Sanayi (DEBA) in 2005. In his next position, he worked as a manager in the denim finishing department at Mimataş Tekstil A.Ş. Between 2008-2012, he worked in the mattress fabric and mattress industry. He realized important projects in production and R&D processes in this field. He took part in important brand, industrial design and patent works for sales in the sector. Between 2011-2014, he provided consultancy services in the fields of management, quality and occupational safety to some companies of significant scale.

Between 2014-2021, he worked in various managerial positions within Küçükler Tekstil A.Ş. He created the infrastructure of the company’s medium and long-term projects.  During this period, Küçükler Tekstil A.Ş. established the 491st R&D Center in Turkey, the 6th in Kayseri and the first R&D Center in the mattress fabric sector. He played an important role in the strategic growth decisions of the company. During his tenure, Küçükler Tekstil was awarded the 1st prize for the most design applications in Turkey at the 5th TPE Awards Ceremony organized by the Turkish Patent and Trademark Office in 2015.

Between 2021-2024, he established a weft knitting and warp knitting facility within Hefa A.Ş., one of the leading textile and artificial leather groups in Istanbul. In this position, he worked in production and sales activities in the fields of apparel fabrics, upholstery fabrics and sleep textiles. In the first quarter of 2024, he received trainings from various institutions for entrepreneurship and start-up projects. In this context, he worked as a co-founder in a start-up project operating in the field of medical textiles within Erciyes University Technopark. He continues his education in the fields of finance and accounting.

In the 3rd quarter of 2024, he was reappointed as a Board Member and General Manager at Küçükler Tekstil A.Ş.
