Established one and half year ago, Bed Textile Company has exported all of its production and earned 2.2 million Euros in one and half year.
Necip Ozcan, chairman of the board, said that his company exported all of the products to European countries.
On his company
We started to produce the same products in 2009 under contract with our partners. In 2012 we dissolved the partnership and established our own firm. Since then we have exported all our production. We used our own resources for this operation and now we employ about 60 people.
On products and supply side of the business
We have been producing only bed covers for Belgian, German, Hungarian and Poland markets. Inputs are bought from domestic sources. All our products are healthy and have EKO certificate.
On production facility
We produce on demand. We have certain customers in abroad. We got orders of them and then start production and deliver. We do not keep any stock. Lead time and order cycles are important in export markets. If you act fast deliver on time, customers are satisfied.
Our factory is of 4 thousand sqm. that has planning, marketing, human resources and research and development sections in it.
On product development
We study new products at fairs and than decide on what to do. We have to fill our manufacturing capacity with suitable products. We consider to produce special water-proof beds for hospitals and for kids. We participated in the fairs in Frankfurt, Cologne and Istanbul, recently.
Additional comments
I think that state incentives should be increased to this industry. Additionally, the state may help us to overcome red tape in our manufacturing and export operations. We believe that producing and giving is more valuable than consumption and receiving. The joy of providing employment to people is valueless.
