Armateks: We allocate 90% of our production to export

Armateks Manager Eyüp Can Çolak made statements about the targets for 2023 and vision of Armateks.

Çolak, made statements to Sleep Tech on many issues from export to fairs, said that they had a successful export process despite the crises in the time period from the pandemic to the Russia-Ukraine War, that they were effective in the European, American and Middle Eastern markets and that they would continue this successful production and export policy in 2023.

• Despite all the global crises, we had a successful export season

As you know, while the year 2022 was expected to pass with the recovery process after the pandemic, the Ukraine-Russia War, which will negatively affect the whole world, broke out. The war caused raw material and logistics crises in almost every sector. The exchange rate fluctuations that continued after the war, as well as the energy crisis in Europe, left both buyers and sellers undecided, causing a slowdown in global production. Despite all the negativities I have listed, as Armateks, we tried not to make our customers feel any negativity with the support of our suppliers. On the given deadlines, we made our deliveries almost flawlessly without compromising our quality. And we crowned this by taking the first place in our sector, according to the data of the Ministry of Industry and Technology. Our aim for the new year is to maximize this success as much as possible and to contribute more to our country’s exports as Armateks.

I hope the year 2023 will be a year that will ignite us and be hope for all sectors operating in our country in the next years. As Armateks, we think to move forward in 2023 with the same strategy

as in 2022.

• We follow a production policy for European, American and Middle Eastern markets.

We allocate 90% of our production to export. The markers we take in, generally, include Europe, America and the Middle East countries. While we make our current customers happy with accurate, fast, high quality and economical solutions, we also know the importance of the first contact regardless of quantity, and allow new customers to see what kind of company Armateks is and the advantages of working with us. By informing them about the orders they want us to produce, we ensure that they understand that they are safe and that they have made the right decision by working with us.

• Technology gives innovation; innovation gives the key of the future

I think that the materials, machinery and materials used in production should be in accordance with today’s technology. Technology brings innovation, and innovation gives you the key to the future no matter what sector you are in. We have been producing over 1,000,000 meters of quilted, 330,000 quilted and non-quilted mattress covers annually for brands that are known around the world and that are adopting quality. We strive to use innovative, technological solutions that increase our production and save us time.

• IBIA EXPO 2022 was a very professionally prepared fair

It is more difficult to stay as leader in the sector than being a leader, so we know that we should not ignore the fairs where there is the opportunity to meet new customers and the demands come together. IBIA Mattress Sub-Industry & Technologies Fair 2022 proved this to us again. It was a regular, understandable and very professionally prepared fair that went very well for exhibitors and visitors. In the next years, we think to participate in this and similar fairs whenever we have the opportunity.

• We will deal with different color tones in the new year’s collections

The first color that comes to mind in mattress and mattress products is white and its tones. However, as we can see from our productions and customer demands, I think that it will be more colorful, especially yellow, gray, purple lavender colors will be the trend especially abroad and we will deal with different colors in mattress and mattress products in 2023.

• We started to establish a new facility in Kayseri

OIZs have been made in different parts of the city in Kayseri, where our company is located. We started to establish a facility that we planned to construct in 2 years in the İncesu Organized Industrial Zone, which is known for its proximity to the Central OIZ. Our hope will be to increase our current production as soon as possible and add some added value to both our company and our country.
