India Mattress Expo Opens

The only exhibition in India dedicated for mattress and upholstery production technology, machinery & supplies to be held at Hall 12A Pragati Maidan, New Delhi, India, July 19-21, 2014

Organized by Unitech Exhibitions Pvt Ltd. and managed by Geo and Nobi Events and Exhibitions Pvt.Ltd, INDIA MATTRESSTECH EXPO 2014 – 2nd exhibition on international mattress and upholstery production technology, machinery & supplies will is expected to attract a great deal of interest from the industry professionals.

The event will showcase technology, machinery & supplies mostly for mattress and upholstery production. In spite of the global economic slowdown, India is still the 2nd fastest growing economy in the world. According to a report on the world mattress industry published recently, the Indian mattress industry has seen an annual average growth of 15 percent between 2002 and 2011. The mattress and upholstery market in India is valued at approximately USD 1.5 billion, out of which luxury mattress brands account for merely 7%, which shows the huge growth potential of this sector in the country. With India’s new liberalized trade policies, increased and continuous growth, foreign companies are making a beeline to enter the Indian mattress industry. Leading global brands have started entering the market by establishing new and joint venture manufacturing units. Large investment in mattress plant and machinery is seen in recent times. Most of the leading machinery and supplies companies have established their own or have representative offices in India. New well traveled and quality conscious Indian consumers will soon become one of the largest global market for high end mattresses. Many large mattress companies are creating strong dealership network and is taking extra efforts to educate consumers about the importance of using good-quality mattresses. The focus of mattress brands is to provide consumers with the required support, comfort, feel and luxury they deserve at competitive prices. The newly formed Indian Sleep Products Forum is evident of this new direction of the industry.

India First Mattress Exhibition was held at Chennai from 23 to 25 Aug 2013 at Chennai Trade Centre. This was India’s Exclusive event for mattress brands, production, finishing machinery and supplies. This event incorporated both finished products for WWWWWvidual users and institutions and also manufacturing technology.

Over 3000 visitors from India, Sri Lanka, Middle East and Far East attended the three-day event. Over 60 exhibitors across the globe participated to make the event a grand success.
