British luxury bed maker, Vispring launches the “Regent” at IMM and Maison & Objet
Silk and mohair introduced into new single spring mattress to provide exquisite level of comfort
Handcrafted by master craftsmen in the company’s factory in Devon, the Regent is Vispring’s first single spring mattress to include Grade ‘A’ Mulberry silk – recognized the world-over as the highest quality silk – and lustrous mohair. Both luxurious natural fibers are typically used in its double spring models; they have a fineness that offers remarkable softness, as well as providing superior cooling qualities.
Vispring has combined these delicate fibers with real Shetland wool, for which it has exclusive use in bed-making globally. The Shetland wool effectively insulates the bed, as well as providing resilience and recovery properties. This unique blend has been designed to deliver an exquisite level of comfort, peace and serenity that embodies Vispring’s philosophy; ‘art of sleeping, art of living’.
Vispring’s proprietary honeycomb nesting arrangement within the Regent means the individually pocketed-springs work independently, contoured to the shape of the sleeper. The gauge of the wire and diameter of the springs within the mattress are tailored for the individual’s preferred tension to deliver the most restful night’s sleep, which results in a good morning – every day.
Each Regent mattress is individually hand-stitched and finished with the upmost care by experienced craftsman, using traditional methods developed over many years. The Regent mattress partners Vispring Prestige divan working harmoniously to provide, for many years, the bespoke comfort and support that is signature to Vispring.
Visprings new design collaboration leads to the launch of two dramatic headboards at IMM and Maison & Objet
Vispring, celebrates its new collaboration with French designer, Terence Mesguich Jacquemin of TMJ Design Studio, by introducing two new headboards at IMM and M&O, January 2014. The “Perseus” and “Talita” are a new direction for the brand, and are heavily influenced by strong, architectural designs finished with soft and intricate detailing that embody Vispring’s new ‘art of sleeping, art of living’ philosophy.
Terence Mesguich Jacquemin introduces a striking headboard combining the use of soft, delicate fabric with strong, lustrous wood; a first for Vispring. By contrasting pale but indulgent velvet with the dark, distinctive character of the Macassar Ebony side panels, the headboard creates a prominent centerpiece to a room.
The multi-tonal striated graining of the Macassar wood is highly decorative and adds a masculine twist to the femininity of the curved headboard. The unique look of Perseus is finished with Visprings new crest, embroidered at the apex of the headboard.
True to Vispring’s bespoke nature, the fabric and scale of the headboard can be chosen to meet customers’ individual design schemes.
“Talita”
The elegant and grand sculpture of the Talita bestows a regal design scheme, with the strong vertical side panels cocooning the sleeper. The tantalising satin sheen of the smooth fabric creates a feminine and serene ambience, with elegant piping around the edges of the headboard revealing an impeccable eye for detail. The headboard is proudly finished with Vispring’s embroidered crest.
As with all Vispring headboards, the customer can individualise to their taste; choosing the fabric and scale of the headboard.
In Perseus and Talita, Terence Mesguich Jacquemin introduces a level of detail and craftsmanship that is exceptional. The use of soothing fabrics and textures perfectly balances his dramatic, yet elegant, architectural schemes, to deliver two sophisticated, unique designs.
Vispring producly launches its new “Berkeley Headboard” at IMM – M&O 2014
The new product has combining detail, craftsmanship and precision features. Vispring, introduces the Berkeley headboard at IMM and M&O, January 2014.
The launch sees the ongoing collaboration with Belgian designer, Dirk Debbaut whose larger than life design pays homage to Vispring’s ‘art of sleeping, art of living’ philosophy, where the bed is seen as the catalyst for a wealth of enticing possibilities that combine luxurious sleep with a life well-lived.
The Berkeley headboard introduces a dramatic design of individually upholstered panels, which are gracefully set at angles; giving a contemporary, geometric look. The headboard (shown in the image with 36 panels) can be scaled up or down to meet each customer’s requirements; even stretching across an entire wall – floor to ceiling – if desired. The fabric, too, can be chosen as preferred; from velvet to linen, and subtle textured striations to overt striped designs. The edge of the headboard and divan are upholstered in a balancing fabric, creating a stunning and sophisticated scheme. Whatever the selection, the overall effect will be an arresting and unique centrepiece that exudes design sophistication.
In the Berkeley, Dirk Debbaut and Vispring introduce a luxurious headboard that balances drama with detail, and traditional handcraftsmanship with exacting precision.
