Barış Ümit, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Ümit Makina, shared his goals and expectations regarding the India Mattresstech Fair, which they will be a participant in, with Sleep Tech magazine.
Barış Ümit stating that their biggest expectation for the fair, which will be held between 2-5 March this year, is to bring their machines together with more manufacturers, used the following expressions about the machines that will be showcased at the fair:
“As Ümit Makina, we are trying to make the right analyzes by making a market research with the support of HCA, and we are aiming to use the limited fair time frame in the most beneficial way by using the time effectively. Adequate preparations before the fair calendar are important enough to affect the fair’s success one hundred percent. That we have our one side in India with HCA in this regard has a great importance and impact. As Ümit Makina, we will have the opportunity to introduce the new package spring production machine to the visitors, as well as all our mattress production machines.”
What are your expectations from India Mattresstech Fair?
Mattress production will continue to grow in the world and especially in a large market such as India. We, as Ümit Makina and our partner Hari Chand Anand&Co, will continue to be a part of this adventure. Our biggest expectation from the fair is to bring our products to more manufacturers and to expand our solution partnership. It is very important that the fair can bring our company together with these right targets, not only in India but also in the world, to read the increasing investments in mattress production correctly and to implement the projects of the right companies with strategic moves. We as exhibitors and our customers as visitors should be able to find the right address at the right fair. In this sense, we believe that the India Fair is the right address.
How did you prepare for the fair as Ümit Makina? Can you mention your collections that will be showcased at the fair?
The fair means for us to embody the ongoing relations. Thus, we started our pre-fair work by reaching out to potential visitors. As Ümit Makina, with the support of HCA, we are trying to make the right analyzes by making a market research and aiming to use the limited fair time frame in the most beneficial way by using the time effectively. How will the fair affect Ümit Makina’s exports? Can we get your predictions?
Sustainable growth is a very important factor for Ümit Makina as it is for every business. If we consider that exports are the lifeblood of our country, as company our responsibility is quite high, and our burden is just as heavy. Therefore, I think that we will reach our goals with fairs, which are the doors which are opening to the outside of our companies and our country together. I believe that India will offer many opportunities both for Ümit Makina and for other participating companies, and this will have good returns for our country and our companies’ exports.
What kind of impact of the fair do you expect on the Turkish mattress components industry?
As Ümit Makina, we are in contact with almost all companies involved in mattress production. This situation is certainly the same in other companies. Therefore, a chain effect can be mentioned. Visitors who want to invest in machinery in India have the opportunity to easily reach other sub-manufacturers along with us. While that the manufacture can reach the products such as fabric, thread, adhesive, etc. makes them feel safe, other Turkish companies on the subject meet with these manufacturers. Therefore, a company participating in the fair represents tens of companies which are coming from its country and make them benefit. We see this effect more especially in the fairs we attend intercontinental.
