ZebSprings, one of the leading companies in the spring sector, which is one of the most important mattress components, will attend the Sleep Expo Middle East Fair. ZebSprings Sales and Marketing Manager Mahmut Öztürk answering the questions of our magazine editor Furkan Akar before the fair evaluated the possible effects of the fair on the Turkish mattress sector and his expectations from the fair as a company.
Mr. Mahmut emphasizing that the effectiveness of Turkish companies in the Middle East market will increase thanks to the fairs, used the following statements in his speech to our magazine; “That the unofficial trade barriers with Saudi Arabia begun to be disappeared is another issue that motivates us both culturally and commercially. Turkey will be one of the important export partners of the region in a few years, both in general and in the sector, due to its location and political activity.”
How do you expect the Sleep Expo Middle East Fair, which will be held for the 3rd time this year, to have an influence on the Turkish mattress sector?
The Middle East will continue to be an attractive market for Turkey because of its price-fixing, volume-providing and non-sophisticated regulations. It would be wrong to evaluate the issue in Dubai, because Dubai is a prestigious country it is important in terms of hosting fair-style organizations. However, it cannot represent the exporter capacity of the world, and in particular Turkey, in terms of bearings and components, on behalf of its geographical location. We can say that it is a meeting center for the Arab business world makes it stand out in this sense.
What are your expectations from the Sleep Expo Middle East Fair as a firm?
We are attending Sleep Expo for the first time; we are expecting it to provide the opportunity for us to see the potential of the region and its degree of attraction. Recognition and recognition will be our priority. If we are satisfied, our participation will continue. Fair administration has shown a remarkable interest such as record etc. from the beginning until today; we are in contact with a fast and friendly team. We as Anadolu Boru Ltd. will attend the fair and we will introduce our pocket spring units, steel spring wire and spunbond nonwoven products. We will try to tell our visitors how much we attach importance to long-term cooperation by talking about our ability to produce customized according to customer demand and our consolidated loading facility.
What kind of an impact do you expect Turkish companies to have in the Middle East market, especially in the UAE, after the fair?
There is a situation that we have observed very closely at the 2019 Interzum (Cologne) fair and afterwards at the 2022 Orlando ISPA fair: Turkish manufacturing and trade companies are now participating in international fairs in a much more common, well-prepared and motivated mood. As the pandemic restrictions applied to Chinese companies are still strictly enforced in that region, we estimate that their free movement is very low compared to the past. It should not be ignored that this is one of the factors that cause Turkey to come to the fore. According to our expectation, there will be a similar picture in this fair as well, and customer visits to the region in addition to the dialogues to be continued after the fair will find positive response.
