VK Matress Machine; The number of Turkish firm increases significantly at each ISPA fair

VK Matress Machine, one of the important machinery suppliers of the Turkish mattress sector, will also take part in ISPA EXPO 2022 Fair, which is very important for the world mattress industry and means a new market opportunity for Turkish companies.

VK Sales Engineer Recep Kütüklü answered our editor’s questions in an interview he gave to our magazine before the fair. Mr. Recep saying that this fair is very important for them as a company that produces machinery stated that the fair is an opportunity to follow industry 4.0 standards. Kütüklü, expressing that the restarted fairs after the pandemic will add vitality to the sector, added that they expect this situation to have a positive impact on Turkey’s export figures.

Can we get your predictions about the short and long term effects of ISPA EXPO 2022 on the mattress sub-industry and technologies sector?

ISPA EXPO is the most important exhibition for us machinery producers and the mattress/furniture industry in North, Central, and South America. It’s a great opportunity for companies from all over the world to meet and share their technologies and products with other like-minded individuals. It also gives the companies the opportunity to polish up their industry skills and find out about the latest innovations and trends. Events like these often allow listening to insightful keynotes and absorbing the wisdom of thought-leaders and innovators. They also give a good indication of where things are headed which gives you a chance to learn as much as possible.

What are your expectations as a company from ISPA EXPO 2022 Fair? What is the priority order of the US market for your company?

The US market is very important to us, and it’s a market where we always kept an eye on. In all our product development processes, we always try to study every market possible so we can provide solutions that fit the said markets, and the US has been a focal. We have many customers already there, and companies we work with to make sure their production is done in the most efficient way possible, with automated methods and up-to-date with industry 4.0 standards. Our focus is to implement our technologies to the spring production industry and to the mattress producing companies, as they struggle with premade springs with a high purchasing price.

Our country’s exports to the USA increased by 45% compared to the previous year and reached the level of 13 billion dollars. How does the export of our industry to the USA gain momentum with the ISPA EXPO Fair?

ISPA Expo is one of the biggest exhibitions in the US, for example, this year, more than 180 exhibitors are on hand to share the industry’s most innovative products and services with a diverse group of customers, many of those are Turkish companies with the goal of building long-lasting connections and business relations which translate into potentially making business deals and sales that help increase the export numbers of our country, directly and indirectly. The number of Turkish companies getting significantly more in every ISPA exhibition. It is extremely important to have a good presence in the US market.

As you know, many fairs around the world have been canceled due to the pandemic. What kind of benefits will the resumption of the fairs and the continuation of their sustainability have on Turkey’s exports? Can we get your opinions?

Unfortunately yes, for the past 2 years all the fairs got postponed due to the pandemic, but we think that it couldn’t have been resumed at a better time, everyone is eager to start attending exhibitions again, create new business opportunities, and collaborate with others, which will help boost our country’s export numbers. For us, we will try to attend as many exhibitions in 2022 as possible, and we are already looking forward to the ISPA Expo in March.
