Turkey runs fast on the way to produce mattress manufacturing machinery

Producers who aim to develop the mattress industry more in Turkey keep their efforts intensively. As one of the most important elements for the industry, mattress machinery manufacturers have also assumed responsibility in this way. We ask Ahmet Kater, proprietor of Katermak company about his views on recent developments in the industry. He said that we got a long way in this regard. Full text of his remarks follows

Turkey will be among the topfive in the world in mattress machinery production

“Ten years ago it was only a dream to produce machinery for mattress manufacturers. Now we are producing high technology complex machinery. They are all liked both in domestic and international companies. Mattress machinery manufacturing industry in Turkey has only 20 years of past. Despite this, it has now ranked at a prestigious place in the world. We are as good as those companies in the world that have been producing machinery for more than 100 years, technically. Turkey may enter in the list of top five in the world in this category.”

Innovation and R&D are needed for progress

“The industry is open to innovation and developments. We, as machinery manufacturers have to adapt to these innovations. Otherwise we cannot compete with the world. We make it by emphasizing on production costs and high technology.”

“Uncertainties hinder investments.”

“As an industrialists, I saw the year 2015 as the year of uncertainties that investments are postponed. I fear that slowdowns will be experienced in almost all industries. There will be loses, as well. These prevent us to invest more. It is important to save the last half of the year after clouds of uncertainties were removed as soon as possible.”
