Leading event in furniture, decoration and design fields, Interzum is to be held in Cologne on 5 to 8 May 2015. Members of press and media from European countries have met in Istanbul for the event on 25-26 November.
Following the two days meeting, media members visited historical sites in Istanbul. Markus Majerus, Koelnmesse Communications Manager, and Katrina C. Hamma, Chief Operating Officer gave information about the fair, its venue, participating companies, visitors and special events. Ms. Hamma said, “Interzum has been held by Koelnmesse since 1959 successfully. The success depends on the ability to reflect the market and the developments in related markets transparently. Leading companies have definitive roles in this regard. Or it originates from brand awareness. Sometimes, the innovative power of smaller companies can become the leader in trend and designs. Interzum has a highly respective position in the world in contrast to similar events both in these two regards. Markus Majerus, emphasized on the developments in fairs held in the last decade. He said, “The last 6 fairs show us the level of developments in these kind of focused fairs. In 2003 1,335 companies from 56 countries participated in and in 2013 1,512 companies from 62 countries had hosted. It means 13 % increases in the number of participants. Number of visitor increased 8% in 2013 over 2003 data. 49,145 visitors from 131 countries came in 2003 while in 2013 53,000 people from 148 countries were hosted in the event. Interzum Cologne 2015 is the topnotch global event for the professionals linked to furniture and interior construction industries. At the expo, attendees and companies will explore the innovative future living spaces by using the modern material, creative designing and outstanding novel concepts into the life. All the international exhibitors will participate at the show. The major objective of the expo is to bring more business in furniture and interior designing industry.
